Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Oukaimeden

Your journey begins in Marrakech, where we’ll drive into the High Atlas Mountains to reach Oukaimeden at 2,600 meters elevation. Along the way, expect to encounter species such as the Southern Gray Shrike, Little Owl, Sardinian Warbler, Spotless Starling, Moroccan Magpie, Moussier’s Redstart, and House Bunting. As we ascend, the rocky slopes provide habitats for the Blue Rock Thrush and the endemic Levaillant’s Green Woodpecker. At the ski resort of Oukaimeden, sightings may include the African Crimson-winged Finch, Rock Sparrow, Black Wheatear, African Chaffinch, Alpine Chough, and Atlas Horned Lark.

Day 2: High Atlas Mountains – Agadir

Departing the High Atlas, we journey towards Agadir on the Atlantic coast. Our primary objective is to observe the Northern Bald Ibis near one of the world’s largest colonies. Additional species to look for include Audouin’s Gull, Zitting Cisticola, Barbary Partridge, Moussier’s Redstart, and Spectacled Warbler. Upon arrival in Agadir, we’ll settle into our accommodations.

Day 3: Oued Massa – Souss-Massa National Park

An early start takes us to the Souss-Massa National Park on the Atlantic coast. Here, we aim to spot the elusive Black-crowned Tchagra, Marbled Duck, Ruddy Shelduck, Purple Heron, Little Bittern, and Plain Martin. The Oued Massa area is excellent for observing Flamingos, Stone Curlew, various shorebirds, and large numbers of roosting gulls and terns. If conditions permit, we’ll also attempt to locate the Red-necked Nightjar. Overnight in Agadir.

Day 4: Agadir – Cap Rhir – Oued Tamri

We head north early in the morning, with our first stop at Cap Rhir for seawatching, particularly targeting shearwaters and skuas. Continuing to Oued Tamri, we enhance our chances of observing the Northern Bald Ibis. Spending time in this area allows us to witness one of the world’s largest colonies of these birds, often providing excellent photographic opportunities. Other species to look for include Audouin’s Gull, Zitting Cisticola, Barbary Partridge, and Moussier’s Redstart. Overnight in Agadir.

Day 5: Agadir – Departure
